Sales Consultant – Witbank / Middelburg


Job purpose:

(Including but not limited to the following)


• Promote and sell IFS core products

• Building relationships with new and existing clients

• Daily Site and Client visits

• Daily communication with clients and suppliers via email and telephone

• Offer after sales services to clients

• Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, preparing reports, making recommendations and offering basic technical support

• Planning and organizing of daily work schedule

• Managing technical jobs supported by field service department

• Daily quoting, reporting and completing of call sheets

• Regular feedback to clients, sales management and customer service department

• Identifying opportunities for new business within the market

• Strong negotiation and closing the deal skills

• Self-confident and well presented

• Product knowledge and basic technical understand (Product training will be provided)

• Good presentation and reporting skills

• Highly motivated and ambitious with a hunger for success

• Ability to handle pressure and work in a fast pace environment

• Computer literacy in MS Office and Internet Explorer

• Administratively strong

• Good written and verbal communications – Proficient in the English language



• Minimum 3 Years external sales experience within the mining industry (proven track record and references)

• Pastel Evolution (will be an advantage)

• Basic mechanical / hydraulic / pneumatic understanding (will be an advantage)

• Knowledge and application of Mine Health and Safety Regulations



• Valid SA driver’s license (Code B)

• Minimum Grade 12 qualification

• Formal sales or closing the deal training (will be an advantage)

• Medically fit – Red ticket will be required

• Own presentable and reliable vehicle (will be tracked and IFS branded whilst employed)


A market related salary will be offered with commission, vehicle allowance and company benefits
