Red Flexi Plastic Cap

This vinyl round end cap is designed to protect the outside diameter of threaded or non-threaded tube, rod, pipe or paper tube. The vinyl (PVC) material can stretch onto larger dimensions for a tight fit without tearing, splitting or shredding. The glossy and attractive finish makes this cap ideal for use as a decorative end cap. You can also use this as a mask for Coating, plating and Paint applications where the maximum temperature is not higher than 350° F.

What is PVC?

The world produces polyvinyl chloride (PVC) as the third-most widely used synthetic polymer of plastic (after polyethylene and polypropylene). The world produces about 40 million tons of PVC each year. PVC comes in two basic forms: rigid (sometimes abbreviated as RPVC) and flexible. You can use the rigid form of PVC in construction for pipe. Alternatively, you can use it in profile applications such as doors and windows. Manufacturers also use it in making plastic bottles, non-food packaging, food-covering sheets and plastic cards. Manufacturers can make it softer and more flexible by adding of plasticizers. The most widely used being phthalates. In this form, people use it in plumbing, electrical cable insulation, imitation leather, flooring, signage, phonograph records, inflatable products, and many applications where it replaces rubber.
