This product is ideal for applications such as sealing flange faces on transmissions, motor casings, and other heavy-duty machinery. Specifically where an effective seal is critical to preventing leaks and ensuring optimal performance.

This sealant cures when confined between close-fitting metal surfaces in the absence of air, forming a durable and resilient gasket that effectively withstands high pressure and extreme temperatures. LOCTITE® 510 can adapt to flange surface irregularities, including scratches and minor imperfections, ensuring a secure, low-pressure seal without the need for additional gasket materials.

Usage Instructions

• Surface Preparation: Clean and dry the surfaces you want to bond to ensure optimal adhesion. Remove any dirt, grease, or old gasket material.
• Application: Apply a thin, even layer of LOCTITE® 510 to one of the flange surfaces.
• Assembly: Join the flanges together, ensuring they are properly aligned. Tighten the bolts according to the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Curing: LOCTITE® 510 will begin to cure when confined between the flange surfaces, forming a strong bond and providing an instant low-pressure seal. Full curing will occur over time.
• Disassembly: For disassembly, heat may be required to break the bond.
