Loctite® 272 Threadlocker Sealant 50ml

A red, medium-viscosity, high-strength, anaerobic-curing threadlocker adhesive designed to provide permanent locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. With its excellent high-temperature resistance and strong bonding capabilities, LOCTITE® 272 is ideal for applications that require a secure, long-lasting seal even in challenging environments.

You can use it for large bolts, studs, and other threaded fasteners that must withstand high heat, vibration, and harsh operating conditions. It is capable of withstanding continuous temperatures up to 232°C (450°F), making it an excellent choice for applications in industries like automotive, heavy machinery, and industrial equipment, where durability and reliability are critical.

Usage Instructions

1. Preparation: Clean and dry the surfaces of the threaded components to remove any oil, grease, or dirt. This ensures that the adhesive can fully adhere and form a strong bond.
2. Application: Apply an even layer of LOCTITE® 272 to the threads of the fastener. Ensure the adhesive covers the entire engagement area for optimal bonding.
3. Assembly: Insert the fastener and tighten to the required torque. The adhesive will cure as you engage and compress the fastener between the threads.
4. Curing: LOCTITE® 272 will begin to cure in the absence of air. Full cure is typically achieved within 24 hours at room temperature. The product works best in confined spaces with metal-to-metal contact.
5. Disassembly: To disassemble, apply heat to the fastener. The adhesive will soften, allowing the fastener to be removed.
