A high-strength, high-viscosity threadlocker sealant specially designed for locking and sealing large threaded assemblies. Ideal for applications involving bolts, studs, and fasteners greater than 25mm in diameter. This red adhesive provides a secure, permanent bond that ensures the reliability and performance of critical components. It is perfect for preventing unwanted movement, loosening, leaks, and corrosion in demanding industrial environments.

The high viscosity of LOCTITE® 277 makes it particularly effective for large fasteners and assemblies that require a durable bond. Its unique formulation also fluoresces under UV light, allowing for easy inspection and monitoring of application areas. In addition, while this sealant creates a permanent bond, it can still be disassembled using heat. This makes it suitable for situations where maintenance or part replacement is necessary.

Usage Instructions

• Surface Preparation: Clean and dry the surfaces of the threaded components to remove oil, grease, dirt, or any old thread sealant. This ensures proper adhesion and curing.
• Application: Apply a sufficient amount of LOCTITE® 277 to the threads of the fastener or bolt. For maximum strength, ensure the adhesive covers the entire engagement area of the threads.
• Assembly: Thread the components together, tightening them according to the manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Curing: LOCTITE® 277 will begin to cure when confined between the threads and exposed to the absence of air, forming a strong bond. Full curing will occur over time.
• Disassembly: To disassemble parts, heat the assembly to approximately 300°C. This will weaken the bond and allow for easy removal of the fasteners.
